I need help!!!!!! So I work at a really busy florist in Orlando. I've been here for about 2 months. I am 1 of 5 sales girls. I answer phone calls, help customers who come in the store and work on online and international orders. I worked at another florist for 2 years prior to working here. The managers said they brought me on board because of my experience. Anyways, in the recent weeks due to my pregnancy I have been extremely tired and have been having a ton of body aches. I tried to keep it to myself as long as I could, but I finally told one of my supervisors at work that I was pregnant and I needed some changes made. She said that she would schedule me for shorter hours and that every time I worked I would have a work desk and wouldn't have to stand at the front counter for my whole shift. All she has done since I've spoken to her is schedule me 5 and 6 days in a row, with shifts of 9 and 10 hours. And on top of that, she schedules so many of the sales staff at once, that there aren't enough work desk. So that leaves me standing at the front desk for my entire shift. I am so upset and I can't take it. I go in the bathrooms and cry on my breaks, and I just suck it up, but I can't any longer. Should I quit? My boyfriend makes enough money to cover the bills and finances but it makes things more comfortable for us if I contribute; even if only a little. I told her that I didn't need to have the same amount of hours as everyone else. But I swear some of the other girls only work 3 or 4 days a week and I work 6. Smh. What should I do????

I would quit that's wrong what your boss is doing. Truth is you a liability and they can't fire you, so they are going to treat you badly so you do quit. I was a housekeeper at a hotel and when they found out I was pregnant they nit picked about everything.

u can file a complaint with the eeoc office for discrimination based on pregnancy, & see about switching shifts with those that work less than you.

Don't quit, just speak to her again!! Maybe she forgot or something, I'm sure she isn't purposely making you work more because your pregnant. Maybe youre just a great employee (: Don't stress!!
