This is baby #5 for me and u have always taken them out as soon as possible, it helps build up their immune system. This doesn't mean taking them around a lot of people and possible someone being sick but I've always taken then to family members houses or grocery shopping early on. Make sure to tag germ x along where ever you go, you will be amazed how handy that stuff becomes with a newborn

I did right away, not for a long time but for a little. plus it helped with her jaundice a bit.
