well she definitely doesn't move when it happens! it definitely feels like a tightening. and when it stops I don't even feel her move out of that spot. it just stops being tight. lol I really don't know how to explain it very well! @february2016

your whole belly gets tight and stays tight and it hurts like hell really horrible cramps that keep coming and don't stop. thats contractions. if it's just one spot it's baby try poking the baby it'll usually move lol

A good way to see the difference is feel your stomach when you think you are having a contraction/or baby is moving. If it is tight every where that is a contraction. If it tight in one area that isn't a contraction!

Contractions will be tightening all over your stomach. Not just one area where baby is.

contractions are persistent and your stomach gets hard. a baby stretching or moving you... to me it felt like a wave or butterflies when he moved. once I got further along I saw him move from the outside.
