So Devyn is only 6lbs 4oz he is 11 days old & he drinks up to 2 ounces every 2 hours the doctor wants him to gain more weight he is 19.25 inches long btw but when i try to wake him up to feed him he does not want to wake up it is so hard to get him awake even with changing his diaper & doing what the doctors have said to do :( i want him to gain the weight he needs to gain any suggestions on what to do??

Thank you mommas!! Its a big help his pediatrician wants him to gain alot of weight by his next appt & its hard being that i cant breast feed cus he does not latch :/
what I used to do n still do I put a little rice cereal in my daughters bottle with her formula I been doing that since she was about 3 months now she's 7 months and weighs 20 lbs
@junesmommy15, i take his clothes off theres times where he wakes up & times that he does not :/ it makes me so nervous cus i know how doctors are if the baby is not gaining the amount of weight they want they are quick to get the parents in trouble the doctor knows that he has trouble breast feeding due to my nipples being very big tmi sorry
doing what both of the previous posters said. if you give him formula add an extra scoop of formula to make it thicker. that is the only way I can get my son to gain weight. He is 19.8 pounds now at 8 months. my pediatrician and some of my friends pediatricians said to do this. you might go through formula faster but he should start gaining.
Run your hands under cold water and then put them on his bare stomach. Tickle his feet.
Make him a bit uncomfortable to get him to wake up. Sounds bad but it worked with my son and he's perfectly healthy. Take his clothes off, try rubbing a wet towel on his face.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

What do you mommas recommend for weight gain in a toddler? My son just had surgery and lost a lot of weight so i wanna help him gain some weight.
My baby was on enfamil gentlease but he was throwing up with it so they switched him to enfamil nutramigen and hes throwing up a ton more with it like alot hes been on it since 9/20 what should i do?
