RANT TIME: Please excuse any bad language, and please don't try to start an argument with me or take anything I say personal. this post isn't about anyone in particular, so don't take it that way, please.
Okay, so I am on quite a few pregnancy apps that contain message boards. Preggie, Glow Nurture, Ovia, etc. I am ALL THE TIME seeing women complaining about how their man or baby daddy is being a shit person... I see all these ladies (pregnant and not) asking advice because their SO is treating them like dirt.. Its simple. If he can't love and respect you THEN LEAVE. And don't give me that bullshit about it being hard, or that you "love" him. No. I was in an extremely abusive relationship from 15 to almost 20. My first "love" the guy I have EVERYTHING too... I ruined my future volleyball career for this guy, I ruined my chances of getting wonderful scholarships for him because I didn't know that the way he treated me was abuse. But guess what, when I understood that "hey, this fucker doesn't love me, I'm just an emotional and physical punching bag for him," I lived 2 hours away from any friends or family BUT I STILL LEFT. So don't give me that bullshit. Quit bitching about whatever man is in your life and fucking so something about it. YOU are a woman. A STONG BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. Start acting like it.

yes but I was also a baby who didn't understand what abuse was. and he didn't really start the abuse until I moved away with him, before that it was him guilting me into drugs and drinking. @junesmommy15

Again I agree with you and I feel like no one should let a man put their hands on them. I can say I would leave him but I've never been through that. I'm just saying for you to have went through that, young or not, you shouldn't be talking in such a way that you are. Instead you should let them know that they can overcome that situation.

Maybe so. But I've seen tons of comments saying just that. I never heard that I should leave. Not even once. So I feel like what I've said was quite justified. These women have tons giving them advice when they ASK for it on what to do, take it. Its simple. I wish I would've gotten advice from someone, anyone. But I never did. I wish one person would have told me that he wasn't healthy for me. I wish one person would have told me that that's not a normal relationship, that it wasn't safe. I have personally shared what I have went through tons of times with women, and even young teenagers trying to give them the advice I never got. And NO ONE takes it...

I guess everyone is different. I feel like I would have known on my own at 17 or 18 maybe even as young as 15 that the relationship wasn't healthy. Again everyone is different though. Know that I'm not trying to argue with you by the way. I totally agree. I'll say now that if a man puts his hands on me I'll be in jail. Not everyone us strong enough at that time.
