What's wrong?

the right side under my rib has been achy and been having dull and sharp pains where my gallbladder was. and the pain travels to the right side of my back. so I'm thinking it could be kidney related.

also been having a pinching sensation in my bladder. a few times my Dr had told me he found blood in my urine. but didn't seem to be concerned at all. @xaviermom1221

Personally I'd go.

I feel bad bc I would have to wake up my husband to go with me. and he works nights. I just want to have a piece of mind.

okay. I know with all the kids I've had. has put a strain on my body. so my ligaments aren't as strong. but i,have pain so bad I'm doubled over in pain. to where I can't even walk. @xaviermom1221

I think you should do it! Even though you feel bad, it couldn't hurt to know if it's something serious or not!

It sounds to me like liver pain hun. I had NAFLD which healed itself, and I went through a whole lot of hell because of it for a few years.

I would definitely go in and ask them if it could be liver related. they can runnbloodwork to check your liver enzymes and make sure everything is in chrck.

when you go to the OB appointments. when they check your urine. do they just check for protein in your pee? and that's it?

Yes, they usually just check for protein or blood in the urine, and drug test

well,if they didn't find blood in my urine this time. then it can't be my kidneys. it just concerns me bc the pain is constant. my MIL said that it's only going to get worse cause Christian is growing. @sarahemccormick

It might just be from the baby, but everything you've been describing is the same type of pain as what I have had in the past. I was in constant, severe pain almost all of the time. They may want to do a liver biopsy like they did to me...let me just warn you, it was the most painful thing I have ever gone through ...but if they deem it necessary, you should do it because they can then diagnose and better determine the problem

Better safe than sorry! I'm from the Omaha area & know how reputable their hospitals are, which means I am sure they will give you the answers you need!

I think that's where we will be going. I just feel like the hospital here in Norfolk isn't really that great lol. but I'm just worried about what my husband is gonna say. I knows he's not going to wanna drive all that way. he thinks there's nothing wrong with me. I don't wanna waste anyone's time. @jessica415

@momma588, they prep you surgically and go in through the side of your body with an 8-9" needle, all the way to the front of your rib cage, where through the needle another needle is inserted which has a sort of 'claw' like thing at the end...and the claw like piece 'bites' off about 6 small pieces of your liver to be sent for biopsy. They numb you on te outside, but not on the inside as they cant 😕 It was BRUTAL. They wouldnt let my husband be in the room while it happened because it was considered surgical. Worst experience ever. But worth it because I found out about issues I had that I didnt know of.

I'm honestly not entirely sure....I would assume you might have to wait to deliver before they would risk it. I know it messed me up mentally for a while, I was honestly traumatized from the experience because...lets just say the numbing shots didn't work, the needle was big, and on the thick side, and I have had referred pain to my right shoulder which gets severe at times as a result of them hitting a nerve.
