ok ladies, so we haven't officially started trying yet but my period is late I figured it was because coming off BC but decided to test anyway because we are going out later this week and didn't want to drink. so when I first took the test after 3 minutes yesterday it was a clear white circle. then I look at it this morning (it was sitting on the top of my trash) and I see a very faint blue line. so my question is is it possible to get a false positive on a test that sits over night if it was negative at the 3 min mark. like I said we haven't started trying so I want honesty I won't be disappointed

Mine didn't show up until 10 minutes later... And I was pregnant. Try a digital one
ok, I was just curious. With my first baby I only took one test and it was a bright line right away so I didn't even question it and the test I took previously never changed from a negative I was just wondering if maybe it changed shortly after I threw it away because my hormones aren't that strong yet but thank you ladies! this test was a generic store brand that says read between 3-10 minutes but like I said I was use to my sons positive showing up right away
It is most likely an evaporation line it happens quite often after sitting for so long so yes False positive but take another one if you want to be sure.
All my negative tests do that after sitting a while, sorry 😞
I got false positive right after I took it I showed boyfriend and everything along with my friend and it was a bright plus not faint
but I always asked myself what if I was pregnant and had a period the following month and it was actually miscarriage but then the next month I had a positive again but never bled after that
tests that sit for awhile like that can show up with false positives. anything after the recommended time is usually inaccurate.
ok I will go get one and take it tomorrow if aunt flow doesn't show up today lol usually that's what happened when ttc with my first I would test and the next day BAM lol @xaviermom1221
