I loved my pack n play with the bassinet attachment. He slept in my room until 8 months. Now he only sleeps in his crib won't even fall asleep on my bed ever.

They make playpens that have a crib extension piece in them for lowering and raising the pad for the baby to sleep . Some even come with a mini bassinet piece mine did

No they grow out of them quickly anyway.

I think a bassinet is necessary if you get a c section. there is no way I'd be able to pick her out of her crib when I had mine I had a hard time with the bassinet honestly

No , to be honest you can have a crib or a bassinet .. don't really need both but sometimes its convenient but if you haven't already you should just get a bouncer or swing instead

Nope. I got a bassinet and rock n play and never used it. The rock n play was a life saver

We personally want one, so that baby is close by, in arms reach. It's also portable, so your baby can conveniently sleep in the living room or wherever you need them to be in the house, if wanted. I think that it's worth investing in.
