I would wait a couple days and take another. Are you late on your period? Also make sure you're not drinking water to force yourself to pee. That can dilute your urine & your test may read negative even if you are pregnant.

And also.. if its too early then you may just have very little hcg hormone in you.

I'm only 7 days late. I took one test and it said positive (I was overly excited seeing as how we've been trying) I took and second one and it said negative. then a third one said positive. @floress_j

It's incredibly unlikely to get a false positive.

I was about a week and a half late when i got my first positive result. Maybe wait a couple days for your next one? @tryinghard
