👋🏻 my hospital went as far as signing me up for class 😒 without my permission. Told them to kiss my ass as I'd rather learn hands on with my own child.

I didn't and I did great. I just made sure to breathe and let my body relax cuz when I tensed the pain was much much worse. Also whenever I got a contraction a chose a focus point (a light switch) and I just stared at it while breathing. :)

I didn't take the one at the hospital but found a smaller class at a natural parenting store in the area. I loved it. It was much more evidence based and hands on as far as learning comfort positions and breathing and less hospitalized lol. You definitely don't have to take one. Just do lots of research and know all of your options :)

Didn't take them, and don't feel like I made a mistake! We went and got a tour of the hospital/birth center though, which was definitely very nice and informative.

It is better to do it as you'll learn some things you might not already know. But I've never went. I don't think it's a necessity

I didn't take them and I'm a FTM and the nurses told me they were surprised at how well I did, I think they are a waste of time/money. Just focus on your breathing and nothing else and you'll be fine that's really all you need
