I went to the doctors yesterday for my 24 week appointment and basically all they did was measure my belly and listen to the heartbeat... I'm a little upset because I haven't seen the baby in a few weeks and that's only because we went to an ultrasound booth at the mall... I'm kinda feeling like its not even worth the time or money to go to the doctors if I'm never going to see the baby. I can measure my belly at home and I know the baby has a heartbeat because I feel her kick enough.
what does everybody else think?

That's pretty normal honestly. They don't do a lot of ultrasounds unless your high risk, they aren't medically necessary. I've only had 2 my whole pregnancy and they don't have anymore scheduled. It sucks we can't see them, but you can always plan a 3D / 4D one if you need like you need to see baby!

Most appointments are boring, but I'd go just because. I'd rather hear the heartbeat than nothing at all. I only got 3 ultrasounds from my regular doctor the whole time, and I hated the every week appointments, but I still went.

I think that's normal. I only got three ultrasounds and one of them I had done myself and I won't be getting. Another unless something is wrong.

Most doctors only perform 2 ultrasounds through out the pregnancy! Unless theres a high risk or your insurance covers more. Honestly i cant complain i see baby often but im high risk. But talk to your doctor see if you can get more.

my friend only had one ultrasound because they knew her baby was healthy. I've had 4 so far but I was high risk and I'll continue to have them only cause I'm overweight. I'd be happy I wasn't having a lot if I were you
