Traditionally a guy does not get an engagement ring but it's also not traditional for a woman to propose so do what works for you. Giving a ring to someone also doesn't prove you love them so maybe you guys need to talk to figure out what's going on.

@momma_beffers, well only time will prove your there for the long run, an engagement, marriage or even children may not ease his mind. My grandfather remarried a woman 20 years younger than him and they had the best marriage I've ever seen so age shouldn't intimidate him you obviously love him very much.

I'm crazy and possessive so I put a ring on him before we even got engaged lol technically I just got him a ring and he put it on the marriage hand.... almost a year later he proposed to me 😊 it's all up to you, there's no wrong answer these days!
