Consistency is what I found worked best for my 3 yr old. We went to the potty every hour on the hour, daily, while home, and stopped in Public, while out, like clock-work. His preschool kept a similar routine. I took pull ups completely out of the picture once he started having more successes, than failures, which seemed to help him progress even more. I'm happy to say he is accident free, for quite some time, now (turned 3 in June).
Thanks! I don't have a 3 year old but the woman I babysit for does and she is not having two much luck with her little one.. Hope this helps.
@justice.kane, my sister tired a 3 day "challenge" like thing and yore supposed to the let kid run around without a diaper for three days that way they can learn what it feels like when the need to go. I got my another nephew potty trained in about 10 minutes, all I did was say we were going to surprise Mimi, mommy and daddy when they get back from the store and he never peed his pants again.
maybe create a bullseye in the potty and tell him to aim at it...I'm just going to let him go with his daddy cause if he sees he will do..
