sooo, i heard doing kegels is good while pregnant, but wouldn't it hurt when its time to give birth because of the tightened muscles π―π― or am i confused? lol
ftm.... I don't even know how to do this tbh and I'm nervous to ask my Dr....
I think it helps the elasticity of that muscle also so that itll stretch easier and tear less? I think... Lol i also heard to massage almond oil to that area starting around 26 weeks to help it stretch also
it strengthens the muscles. just like lifting weights would for the rest of your body
It helps make them more "elastic" so they expand easier... You are practicing using your muscles. So say you started lifting a 5 lb ball with your right arm. At first it would be sore and harder to do, over time it gets easier and there is no pain.. So you're pretty much practicing the movements your vagina will make during labor.. and helps after birth too!!
Kegel help strengthen the pelvic floor, which acts like a hammock when carrying a baby. Doing kegel also may help with preventing the "leak" we experience when pregnant and after and you sneeze or laugh.
