Does cocobutter lotion really help prevent stretch marks? My sister swears it does

(sorry extended comment)1. If using the calendula and dried ginger, add to Apricot Kernel or Almond Oil and place in a double boiler or bowl over a small pan of water. (or use a glass jar for easier clean up)

Bring to a simmer and heat for 30 minutes on medium low heat to incorporate the properties of the herbs.

Strain through a cheesecloth or metal strainer to remove herbs. YOu will want to make sure you still have at least 2 tablespoons of liquid oil left.

Return the oil to the double boiler and add the shea butter and coconut oil.

Heat until melted and stir to incorporate.

Remove from heat and store in small glass jar.

Add any pregnancy safe essential oils if desired.

Use as needed on skin before, during or after pregnancy as needed.

I have made a scrub for my shower that smells like chocolate coffee XD and I've made a salve for after the shower...for the scrub: it's coconut oil,sugar,cocoa powder,and graded coffee (u can buy the coconut oil at Walmart and it has to be natural the one I get has a gold lid ) when u make this ur going to want a clean mason jar to put it in when u put it all together ur going to want it to be thick as for the salve: Stretch Marks Salve Ingredients

1/4 cup Shea Butter

1/4 cup coconut oil

3 Tablespoons Apricot Kernel Oil

1 Tablespoon Calendula flowers (optional)

1/4 teaspoon dried ginger root

I like to use coconut oil mixed with vitamin E oil

And which one with the pregnant lady @brudd330? Is it cocobutter? And that would be awesome! I'm willing to try anything..Did you come up with the ingredient yourself?

I use this one with a pregnant lady on it but I also make my own body scrubs with oils to help with mine if u want the body scrub ingredients I'll be happy to share it with ya :)

its an oil you could get from Walgreen's or Walmart it suppose to reduce or prevent stretch marks and other kind of marks, and make your skin softer.

I use palmers queens Anne's made me itchy but both are good

And that sucks I am crossing my fingers it works lol

i don't think so l used cocobutter and bio oil thrpught out my whole pregnancy and l still got stretch marks plus my doctor said it doesn't really work, its good to use it when or skin starts to itch to relieve the itching but if you get stretch marks nothing can prevent you from getting it.

I don't know if it prevents them but I don't have any on my belly yet ! And it faded my ones on my hips and butt from puberty
