Applesauce!! :D because you can't get fresh fruit on WIC. :(
in tn we can get fresh fruit. weird they don't let you get it.
I'm sorry that sucks I thought our sucked bc they have so many restrictions @jk0516
@babybermea, I know. Its crazy. I feel like when they had the vouchers you had a little more leway on what you could get. Or maybe its just the state. I used to live in Indiana. All this just blows out here lol.
Man yalls are strict we have wic credit cards too well this is my first time ever being on it so I don't know how it was before but I have a credit card and we only have 1% milk too and wheat bread or tortillas but yalls is more strict
@babybermea, I remember that list lol. Since they switched to WIC credit cards everything went down the drain. One kind of cheese. Only 1% milk. Generic cereal nothing good. But i buy others with our money. One kind of bread. And they only give you black beans.
@babybermea, yes. I hate it. I prefer fresh. There is so much more to choose from.
@jk0516, oh man that's crapppy :/ in Texas we can choose either or frozen fresh or canned
@babybermea, they give me the fruit. Just canned fruit thru my wic.
@tbella91, i have a wic credit card. They dont do vouchers here. kinda helps. Dont have to buy it all at once.
They should give you atleast 10$ of fresh fruits and veggies
@irisedith, i will at my next appt. I only go to one place vs like 3 others because its where we always shop and it dont even have a tag on any fruits saying its wic approved.
Hmmm that shouldn't be right. I find the fruits are pretty expensive anyways so I get the frozen fruit in bags and make milk shakes or smoothies with it.
Thats really weird, cause here they push you to eat fresh stuff.
i think you need to speak to ur case worker @jk0516
I have tried fresh veggies and fruits and it won't go thru on my wic just the canned stuff. @alibabymay2016 @augusttmermaidd @irisedith @mom13 @susiecute
They should give you a ten dollar one for fresh fruits?
yea i get fresh fruit and vegetables from WIC where i live as well
omg really !!?? where i live at they give you fresh fruit and vegetables
in indiana, I get 18.00 a month for fresh fruit and vegetables
