There's nothing to think about. Just take labor as it comes if you feel like you need it then get it! I worried about it a lot with my first but really it's something to decide when the time comes.
Exactly what @stephhhx3 said do what you can and while you are labor if you think you can do it go for it! But if it comes to a point you don't think you can don't feel awful about it! Try not stressing about it you def will know if you want it that day!
I wouldn't pressure yourself. You can always try to go natural and if it doesn't work out at least you can say you tried. I pressured myself and I regret it I spent many more hours in pain and unable to fully dilate because I couldn't relax enough I guess ...Basically within 2 hours of my epidural I dilated to 10cm and pushed him out in about 20 minutes. It took me like 20 HOURS to dilate from a 2 to a 5 -_- I suggest you write up a birth plan and leave that as an option you can tell the nurses you wanna try a natural birth , but possibly an epi. My advice is to not take anything other than the epi because the other drugs typically slow down breathing for you and the baby because they are opiates and they don't work with labor I barely felt it take the edge off imo and it's not a risk you wanna take @kparis
