anyone else have trouble settling down their newborns first couple of days? he doesn't want to sleep in his basinette…

My daughter was doing 6 hours straight by 6 weeks....I know your not "supposed" to let them sleep in the bouncy chairs....but really, you gotta get some sleep and so does your baby!!! It never hurt my daughter....and you do what you gotta do, to survive these first brutal weeks lol

Mine was just like that. Would only sleep if I held her or if she was in a bouncy chair but it had to be vibrating or bounced. Eventually I put her in a crib and let her deal with it cause it drove me nuts and I couldn't get anything done. And mine started sleeping through the night by the time she was like 4 weeks I think. My first daughter started sleeping through the night by 2 weeks

also.. when do babies stop feeding every 2-3 hours and are able to sleep through the night? I know that might take awhile. .

we tried co sleeping and he didn't like that either :/

we got one of those (similar) and we have another bassinet that rocks that he likes today. . the one that rocks is curved and not flat so we can't use it for sleep time. our 2nd basinette that Is flat (like a crib) he doesn't wanna sleep in. it's mostly nights that are terrible. he doesn't want to sleep and he's CONSTANTLY feeding. we have had no sleep the last couple nights :/

Try taking a bouncy chair and lightly bounce the baby in the chair with your feet....my daughter slept in her little chair all the time, if I tried to move her....she wouldn't go back to sleep!

I know of a baby swing that's made to feel like the baby is being held and babies always fall asleep fast... my family has been using for generations ... try google native baby swing ... usually hangs over the bed, and sheet n pillow used ... If you would like to know more jus let me know... it works miracles on putting babies to sleep
