When I was in the hospital yesterday, a nurse saw the tattoo on my lower back and said if I were to get an epidural it could possibly cause ink poisoning. Now I'm freaked out about getting one if I end up needing it 😓

Not true, have a huge one on my lower back. Already has two epidurals with it.

That is false there is no way the ink will enter the blood stream from an epidural. Imagine if it where true a large percentage of the population couldn't have IV's because of tattoo's.

that dosent make any sense!! I have several tattoos and one on my lower back i didn't get ink poisoning lol

I don't think I understand. how can an old tattoo give you ink poisoning like that? did she say why or how that would happen?

I figured it wasn't true. But she sounded so serious about it & told me I shouldn't get one because of it. I've never heard of anything like that until she said that.
