shooting with my sissy today ! so excited. my gun has never been fired and I've had it for like almost a year.
And that's a good thing! I know my family and bf are all very supportive of it @arijane316
@countrycupcake111215, my family doesn't see a problem with it nor does the babys father. and he was military so he's highly trained on when and when not to ahoot
The way I see it is a lot of things that every one worries about have been done for so long. And I always asked my doctor and 90% of the things that people tell you are unhealthy or bad during pregnancy my doctor actually laughed at. Yes some concerns are legitimate but if you ask are do things in small to moderate amounts you are fine. I jusy learned to go to my doctor and just listen to him because everyone is different and other moms can be wonderful for support but can also cause you more stress. It's a good thing though that you know the risks yourself and make your decision based on what you know and your doctor and family agree on @arijane316
go shooting and have fun..just because your pregnant dosent mean you have to live in a dam bubble. @arijane316
my mom was out hunting when she was pregnant with me and at 9 months pregnant she shot her deer. you'll be fine especially since you said your going outside if you are nervous have someone else load and unload gun for you.
@arijane316, I went several times during my pregnancy. Up until I was 30 weeks. I even cleared it with my doctor. And yes baby boy is wonderful and healthy no issues. I say enjoy it because now with baby boy here it will be several weeks before I can go again simply because I won't leave him with a sitter or my bf mom and mine lives an hour away
@arijane316, I'm only telling you what I've heard no offense to be taken from my comment. I love going to the shooting range I've just been withholding just in case.
we were just trying to help you. (: I'm sure I would have been able to continue training if it was safe. but its not. so lol
@mz_jdl_119, and if touching lead were an issue, well then every pregnant woman would be at risk every day of their lives
@mz_jdl_119, there is no lead intake unless it's a black powder gun...
I just looked it up, most if not all fun ranges won't even let you into their facilities if they know you are pregnant, so that's a sign to me that it shouldn't be done until after baby is born. :/
well, where I live, we don't have a lot of indoor ranges and I don't do indoor ranges anyway. I've never heard anything about not being able to shoot while pregnant. I know many women who have gone while pregnant and not had problems.
@arijane316, I've been told that it the lead intake when you reload the gun is not safe for the baby and also indoor gun ranges are not safe BC the decibels of noise when shooting. some gun ranges don't let you partake if they know your pregnant. it depends on the state I think.
It has to do with the lead that's in the gun powder and some people say the noise can be hard on your baby after 16-18 weeks. Most indoor ranges won't allow you to shoot in their facilities while pregnant.
there's alot of risks you take by doing it. I can't remember exactly what they are because I was told early on in my pregnancy. but I was training to be a police officer with some of my police friends. and when I told them I was pregnant they told me I'd have to wait until after I gave birth to continue training and going to the range with them. I think it's something about the lead intake from the bullets and everything. google it.
I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to go shooting during pregnancy! ):

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️

My boobs are leaking and soaking my baby girl!!
I was going to take my mom shooting today for her birthday but we decided against it. I would rather avoid anything that could potentially be risky. To me it's just not worth it. My doctor also suggested to avoid it.
