ugh. okay so has anybody ever not wanted their MIL in their child's life? like at all? how do I tell my husband this without him getting mad? she talks crap about me and won't even speak to me. I found out yesterday she is setting up an entire nursery at her house thinking she is going to keep my child at some point... sorry not going to happen! we had a fine relationship until the day my husband asked me to marry him. that was the day she turned into a jerk. she has even gone as far as to talk crap about my best friend and the fact that I am a Christian... why would I want my daughter around that?! ugh I feel so selfish right now :(

I haven't talked to mine in months.. she's an alcoholic and called me one day acting like it would be our last time talking saying be good to her son and grandkids and disrespected me so I won't answer the phone... my husband gets mad but I stand my ground.. I tell him to call her when she calls me cuz I don't want her popping in to see them. I am their mother what I say goes period.. sounds harsh but I'm a pretty practical easy going person but if I'm done I'm done
I HATE my MIL with a passion. I don't want her anywhere near my child. But he will not agree today she is the only family he has ._. She's such a bad person ugh
@excited_mommy2016, I'm im the same boat at this point right after the proposal things went left ! and I have expressed this to him we tried talking to her and nothing has changed ! So I have already explained to him she can't be apart of this

@jclark18, I have tried multiple times to talk to her and every time it ends with her acting like I out of nowhere started attacking her. :/
Just try to talk to her and if she doesn't like you, that means she doesn't like your seed. leave it at that.
