So I found out Monday last week I am going to be raising a child all on my own! I do have the support of my parents. The father of the child has becomes he wants nothing to do with either of us.
I'm really finding it hard to cope. As we where only seeing each other for 3-4 months.... Feeling broken

First of all welcome to preggie, I'm sorry to hear of your situation, men can freak out about the thought of becoming a parent, heck, I think even i wanted to run away when I first found out too. however in most cases they will usually come around after a few months and want to be a apart of the pregnancy and Childs life, If they do, it's up to you to decide whether you need that type of influence on your child and if he will cause you stress and discomfort during your pregnancy. I wish you all the best for a happy, healthy pregnancy & congratulations!

I decided to do this alone and frankly, I think it's the best option! You won't have to consult anyone about what you name your child, how you parent, what school to send them to - it's empowering that it will be all up to you! Of course, there will be times that will be difficult - but those times are there whether you have a partner or not. And, knowing you are going it alone should ensure that you can't feel any resentment for any perceived lack of support from a partner. You won't have to juggle a relationship with your love for you baby and you won't have to consider the feelings of a potentially needy and feeling neglected partner.
I have friends who have partners who are so useless that it is almost like they are parenting more than one child...
This might not be the situation you planned but there are plenty of positives to focus on. Stay strong and good luck!
