Any advice on how to talk overbearing in-laws how you feel about hospital visitation, home visitation, feeding the baby, etc? I know my in-laws are going to want to invite anyone and everyone they can to meet Skyler when he's born and I know they are going to want quite a few people to visit at the hospital but I barely know any of their family and I would feel really uncomfortable... Also I know my MIL is going to want to feed him a lot and I'd honestly feel more comfortable with just me and my husband feeding him for a while after he's born. I know my husband agrees with how I feel but he's easily manipulated by his parents....

dont tell neone u r in labor n if they dont know they will not go or invite neone :)

just tell them it's your baby, you'll invite who you choose into the room. everyone can else wait, it's not like the baby is going anywhere but home

You just gotta stand up to them and tell them, look it's my baby and I know you're excited but me and (insert hubbys name) want to do things our way and don't really want any hospital visits so baby and I can recover and go home

@yummycake, I can't just not tell them. My husbands parents are probably going to be one of the first people he calls which is fine. I don't mind them being there... it's just that they would invite too many people @arijane316 I'll probably write up a guideline of sorts so me and my husband can go over it. I don't mind when we are on the pp floor if grandparents and close aunt's or uncles visit but no friends of the family.....

deff tell the nurse. my mil showed up while I was in labor, I didn't want anyone but my bf there and I told the nurse and they won't let them in she was livid
