Ughhhhh. I just had what i thought was my last cervical survey ultrasound. My cervix shortened. Down to 2 cm. its supposed to be 3-3.5cm for at least another 4 weeks! I thought with the cerclage and progesterone shots I was gonna avoid all this this time around. anyone else dealing with this? im puzzled because with my first 2 kids i was put on strict bed rest. this time she only told me to watch for cramping and leaking fluids. What is wrong with my body?

mine shortened as well and im still getting progesterone shots every week. 😞 they put me on bed rest at 27 weeks.

I'm 28 weeks tomorrow, go back at 30 weeks to be checked again. she didn't put me on bed rest but i think I'm gonna just keep myself in bed anyways

found out my cervix was shortening at 24W5D so I got a pessary put over my cervix. (a doughnut thing). only because I couldn't get the cerclage since it was too late. Two days later ended up in L&D because I dilated to 1CM so I was put on strict bed rest.

how far along are you now? @jessiethelesbiann ive been through this twice already but this time im having the worst pregnancy ever so i feel like im not gonna make it much longer

I found out I had incompetent cervix when I lost my twins at 19 weeks in 2013. And so at 16 weeks this pregnancy they put me on the shots and they did not work because I'm in this boat. I'm 29W1D and my doctor doesn't think I will make it much longer either. I went into preterm labor after getting that thing on my cervix and they had to give me the steroid shot and they said if I go into labor again they will not stop it.
