Help! Last night I felt very crampy/gassy and couldn't sleep and this morning it is continuing. Almost feels like I have my period where I get low crampy/icky feeling..could this be a sign labour is coming? I sure hope so. I've been feeling abdominal cramps off and on for the last couple days but it was more intense last night. I think something may be happening..
P.S. what does a contraction feel like and will I know when I have my first one? thanks ladies!

Is your stomach hardening too? The very first ones hurt like a period but you are still able to move around. They last for like 30 seconds n then it goes away. From what I remember (I was induced) the first one I was at home n it started the period cramps immediately. As the night went on it was harder to walk around n I had to stop n let it pass. And it just gets more and more intense. My second I ate pineapple so I had contractions that didn't hurt but you could tell it was happening cause my stomach was rock hard everytime

yeah definitely the start of early labour. they are lasting about 30 seconds but they are coming pretty consistently now like every couple min but I can still move around and talk through them

What was it 5 to 7 minutes apart you go in? I don't remember. I got called in both times to go have my kids. Was told when it was so many minutes apart to head into the hospital
