Is it normal to be scared of labor? Like I am extremely terrified. I've had panic attacks for as long as I can remember & I do not want to have one during the delivery. But hospitals & everything that goes with it gives me so much anxiety 😩 I hate being this way, but I've got to try to calm down because I keep having these horrid dreams about the "what ifs" when the time comes..

Thank you ladies! @chocohunnybees I'll try to remember to do that! I don't want an epidural so I'm going to try to go as long as I can so that I don't have to get one. I really want to have him without any medication. So I think I've just got to find ways to help me during labor.

personally, labor was my favorite part. ( two doses of morphine probably made it better) you just have to do everything you can to get your mind off the contractions, because if you can't relax, it'll be harder to dialate

its not as bad as they make it out to be. yes, it hurts, but there are ways to help the pain. the easiest way to make the contractions less painful is to "walk them out" every time a contraction starts. you will hardly remember labor, do your best not to let the pain grip your mind, and during each contraction, imagine a rubber band getting stretched and make whoever is helping you during labor rub your feet or play with your hair, and listen to anything that'll help you relax. in as much discomfort as you'll be in, you need to focus on relaxing. focus on how excited you are to finally see your baby's bright eyes look up at you, and a big toothless grin, letting you know how important you are to them

I was like that with my first. It was really hard to relax with all the anxiety, but when I would take deep breaths and tell myself what was the outcome I remember all the anxiety issues would go away. Just know when its all over you'll have that precious baby in your arms. You wont even remember being scared prior. Hospitals are a fear of many, unfortunately we fear them so much not realizing that without them we probably wouldn't survive. Lol especially with the way technology is today! You'll do great and just focus on the end results your BABY!

Short Luteal Phase?

I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
