Has anyone else had any drs try to prescribe them Zofran while pregnant?? With all I have heard, I don't want to take…

I took both Reglan and Zofran. They worked for a little while and then stopped working for me and I continued to throw up. I now take Diclegis and it's the only thing that consistently worked

I took diclegis I think there are more studies that show is safer.

@jk0516, I took it almost my whole pregnancy and didn't realize that's what it was until my son was like 5 months old😳 but he's perfectly healthy

yes I take it once a day, its the ONLY medicine that would help me. I lost 15 pounds from not eating. If you do some reasearch on it they really have very little proof of it affecting the baby. Just like anything you take.

Hyperemesis gravidarum? I ask because that Reglan is what my doctor wants to try next. I'm really hoping I can get to NO MEDS NEEDED status soon.

@tayek im not familiar with HG ., but Ive had Phenergan n IV fluids. i had something i forget wat it is called but it was severe morning sickness n been hospitalized twice for it and dehydration. Reglan works great , No side effects. I had to get a Reglan IV pump i carried around w me 24/7 and ended uo feeling Wayyy better n got off of it within a week n a hlf

I tried it. Didn't work. Diclegis broke me out something fierce (hives from head to toe). I've been dealing with HG by having Phenergan injections and IV fluids.

Diclegis works! i had Zofran for maybe a few weeks because it works so good but after seeing those commercials I got scared to use it again. But baby had no problems! i think you will be okay , esp if your out of your first trimester

Thank you all for your input. It was a simple question to ask if other people took it. I am still going to refuse to take it. I have looked it up and it is not something i wish to take while i have my child inside of me. If yall took it ok. But i am not trying to get a long paragraph of what others have read and what drs would or wouldn't do. It doesn't matter to me how it was started and this and that. Just if others have took it. And i appreciate most of your responses. And i am sorry but i have read it does cause birth defects in humans. And didn't ask about immunizations. That is a different topic and my child will get them.

I took zofran my first trimester I was in horrible shape couldn't eat drink was dehydrated I tried like 3diff nasuea pills and zofran was the only one that helped me it took away the nasuea and made me hungry so I could eat

When it comes to prescription drugs the doctor weights the benifits and risks.. if you can't keep anything down then the benifits of stopping the vomiting out way the risks. I take prilosec everyday and there were birth defects seen in mice but it has never been tested in pregnant humans.. so it's a class C. but that doesn't mean it causes defects in himans.

I take the Diclegis. I've been taking it since the beginning of pregnancy and it does work.

Just so you know, that was started by lawyers advertising to try to make money and milk that as much as they can. They've done studies after the fact to see if it's dangerous and they've found multiple times absolutely no correlation between zofran and birth defects. But they make a lot of money off of scared mommies. The doctors wouldn't prescribe it if it were unsafe like that. A similar example would be people still thinking vaccines cause autism even though the doctor who started that rumor admitted that he made it up completely. But things just keep going around.

ask for samples of this! its 100% safe it's a class A

@jk0516, I don't understand why they would prescribe them after I talked to my doctor and told him why I said no he never asked again

I took it for about a week and my friend who is a week ahead of me took it for about a month

@tyharris2, that is what I heard and even after i refuse everytime, i had 2 drs give me some and i told them i wanted something else.

my doctor tried to but I said no because I heard it has birth defects on your baby
