Open mouth kisses happen! It's normal and okay to kiss a baby. I didn't get any shit for this photo and it's not even my child lol. This is my best friends daughter (I call her my niece, she calls me auntie.) When this photo was taken I had been around her just as much as her mom and dad. Every day since she was born. We lived together. She's not even my own child but I was her favorite person besides mommy and she was my little princess. 💗 baby kisses are totally okay as long as you aren't sick, don't have mouth sores/herpes, haven't smoked or sucked a dick recently, and the baby/child is okay with it and you're not forcing it. Also in this case as long as it wasn't crossing any boundaries of the parents. It's a natural part of life and teaches them affection! I'll kiss my baby, and daddy will give her kisses, and I'll be okay with my mom, sister, and best friend kiss her too. Anybody besides that I'm not comfortable with just because of germs and I don't trust other people's judgement.

I live in Texas and I kiss my daughter on the lips, and so does my husband and his family. But my family didn't. I think it's a personal decision. I probably will eventually only rarely do it on the lips as she gets older, but for now I get lots of open mouth kisses from my dd!
