When my son was 2 mo. He was rushed to ER due to lack of food and dehydration. He got a ultra sound done on his tummy to find out he had pyloric stenosis(muscle blockage above the opening of the stomach). He was so dehydrated he was on IVs for four days before they could even perform the surgery. Once out of surgery he then had to accomplish eating again, we started with one ounce and worked our way to two ounces before we were able to go home. This is something very serious, I almost lost my son! I share his story cause I want everyone to be aware. Signs are: projectile throwing up,sunken soft spot, lifeless, no interaction. His doctor didn't think he had it when I first brought him in about throwing up because it is only common is FIRST BORN SONS THAT ARE WHITE. My son is now a happy 18 mo. Bouncing smart child I love him dearly.
my son is African American as well
