when people say you'll know when labor starts....they are so very right. You will be absolutely miserable and in some pain (if you're like me anyway, I have a moderate pain tolerance). I felt like ripping my fiance's face off. Oh and his Mother....i thought about punching her in the face as she stared at me and shook her head up and down as my contractions came on. I lasted about 6 hours with no pain meds. After my pain meds. I passed out. I didn't feel a thing!

I hated being sent home. my body never went into labor with my first child. I had no idea what to except with laboring...you think I would have but like they say every pregnancy is different!

Hopefully! I'm experiencing everything for labor but I'm not going up to the hospital until I know for sure! I hate this because last time I went to the er I spent from 12 in the morning Til 8 in there for them to just send me home... @beautifuldisaster3

Mine were Braxton Hicks until I had to drive an hour to the hospital (from my work) and I got so mad at the one calls that I was screaming at them to give me pitocin. Everytime I would call about something they would say come in right away then they would release me (each time I would be at work). I was a VBAC so they got worried I guess. After I got mad and they checked me twice I went into labor with my contractions 1-2 minutes apart. hopefully the even out for you!!!

I've been having irregular contractions all day. But for some reason they just stopped then a few will start then stop. I think it's braxton hicks @beautifuldisaster3

I lost my whole plug at 39 weeks, I ended up in labour 5 hours later. Had irregular contractions with the 5 hours though. Also, you can lose pieces or the whole thing but sometimes it can "grow" back.

Mine came out at 35 weeks, didn't go into labor until 5 weeks later. everyone is different though.

Mine came out over a few days starting last Thursday and then I went into labor Monday morning

I lost mine at 37 weeks and had her about 2 weeks later

@mommy2k15, you can lose it at any time. I lost pieces of mine for about a month and then I lost the rest like 2 days before I went into labor.

My guess is that since you can lose your mucus plug at any time during your pregnancy that it doesn't mean you're about to go into labor but being so close.. Who knows. Good luck :)
