I'm just worried in his younger years he'll be confused! Ahh so many things I worry about with this!

my parents did the same thing with my brother. we have always called him by his nickname but he grew up to realize that's not his real name. people at work and school call him by his real name because he got tired of explaining but that's his preference. I personally can only call him by his nickname. it's too weird not to lol

That's a good idea! Rather than us pushing his name when he gets older, we'll let him decide what he wants to be called. Although to family and close friends I am sure he will still be called Tripp... he'll be called that by me at least! Lol

I have a feeling he will have no problem knowing his full name lol usually, you should be just fine saying the nickname and his full when he's in trouble. he'll know lol

Haha I have wondered about that! I've always called DH "Danny boy" but when I need to get his attention it turns into "Daniel Thomas" lol I have a feeling little man will know exactly when he's in trouble when the full name gets pulled out! Thanks for the input!! :)

I LOVE that! My 1st son is David II. My husband was deployed (military) when he was born, so I just ended up calling him David. When hubby got home he tried to nickname him deuce, but it didn't stick. I already called him by his real name too long. Now hubby wants to name another boy David III, so he can call him Tripp! I told him he's not George Forman 😂😂😂😂

Hahaha! My family has mentioned the George foreman thing to us because there are SO many double names on DH side of the family 😂
