That's usually when they are playing with the umbilical cord.

yeah we were at the hospital a couple nights ago and her heart rate dropped really quick then jumped back up and they did an ultrasound and it was in her hand @mamalamadingdong

Yeah, it is! @brittahnee Think of it like a rubberband... If they can get enough tension on it and kick or whack at it, it will vibrate.

Just watch out for excessive hiccups. You should notify your doc if they get them multiple times a day or for more than 10 min. This could be a sign that baby is in distress from a true chord knot or strangulation.

mine has the hiccups quite a bit but not multiple times a day, should I bring that up to my Dr?? @mamalamadingdong

I wouldn't worry unless it is multiple times a day or for a reeeeally long time. Just something to be mindful of with a baby who likes to play with the cord!

I definitely will keep that in my mind
