For any moms working full time - Did you work until you went into labor? If not, when did you stop or cut your hours? I'll be 37 weeks soon and want to at least start working from home or something. Is it too soon for me to talk to my boss about this?
I'm a teacher so in on my feet all day it's not an easy job when you're pregnant by any means? especially teachinh Kdg
I was gonna try to work til 39 weeks but tomorrow I will be 38 & have gotten so uncomfortable that tomorrow is my last day of work. I also work retail & am on my feet for 10+ hours & constantly moving & bending. I think it depends on your body & what kind of job you have. I would say work until you're uncomfortable.
ur welcome and I did fast food the same job as everyone else I did every job minus being a cashier lol so but it depends on ur body just trust it if u think u can still do go ahead and if not talk to ur doctor and see what they recommend ::)
@nety887, @mrsl427 @nerdmamatn Thank you for your comments. My boss has offered me the option, and I've taken her up on it a few days (like today). I just feel guilty, or feel like she might think I'm talking advantage if I do it too much. I work in an office, so it's not hard labor, but I get extremely uncomfortable and get back aches & just sore. I was curious what others are doing, or what might be considered normal. I technically won't go on maternity leave until after birth, I get 6 weeks.
if you can work at home, I'd do it. I worked up with my son til 3 days before I had him at 39 weeks. planning in working now until I have my daughter and I'm 37 weeks today
wasn't finished lol so anyways I'm glad to be done a month before my due date, too much pressure each day on my body/feet you know?
