just a question, how many mommies bathe their baby (ies) every night? read on another mommy forum I was recently on and there were a few mom's that waited 2 weeks to give their child a bath. I completely understand sometimes you get home late and they are already asleep or you just get caught up and don't realize the time until it's way past bed time and they are super fussy, but I think 2 weeks is a little to long for a baby to without a bath. a day is too long for me.... I can't stand the smell of milk on a baby. we are every night bathers and he has slept all night since day 1♡♡

@mrsruvalcaba, in his bath water he uses louann(you can buy it in the cooking section at walmart) and after bath I have some organic kind that my mom bought that we melt in some warm water on the stove while he's taking a bath. we melt is because it's easier to mix with his lotion and rub him down in. it's EXTREMELY messy when you first start using it.

try rubbing his little body with a mix of coconut oil and his lotion and put some long footie pj's on him before bed every night. it's all natural and works wonders. I'll post a pic of my little boy before we started the coconut oil and after.

I'm glad to hear you figured out what works for your lil one. I've tried Aveeno lotion and bath, Aveeno oatmeal wash, and nothing. What kind of coconut oil do you use?

@prestonsmommy, Hes only 2 months so i usually just wash him up and wash his hair and get him out because hes not really interested in playing in the bath yet. He loves to just sit in the warm water but not for very long

@amber.s95, do you let him play after you bathe him and wash his hair?

@ashbabash18, my little guy is the exact same. if he doesn't have his warm oil and lotion massage he's not sleeping all night and it's going to be a fight to get him to sleep.

I bathe my son every other day. His eczema seems to get worse when I bathe him every night.

@mrsruvalcaba, you're very welcome. try bathing her every night too. my little guy can not sit in soap so he has play time with his oil for about 10 minutes, to be sure it coats him really good. then we let that water out and rinse the tub out and bathe him and wash his hair and he is to immediately get out afterwards and he have cut his back drastically just by changing that. and we do not use any kind of steroid cream at all because they only make him cry.

I give Emma a bath every night and put lavender lotion on her every night. It's a routine now and she will not sleep through the night if we don't do her full bedtime routine

@mrsruvalcaba, my son has severe eczema and we live in the bath tub. give her a bath in coconut oil every night, and then use warm coconut oil mixed with her lotion before bed, put her some long footie pj's on and when she wakes up coat her in more lotion and it should clear up within a couple days.

my little boy has always had to be bathed daily and sometimes he still has to be bathed twice a day because he has severe eczema, there are people that want to say that giving a child a bath dries their skin out and that's actually the complete opposite. when he has major flair ups he gets up to 4 and 5 baths a day

For a newborn infant you should bathe them every night, their skin is very delicate. Maybe every other day or every 2 dys, but 2 wks is crazy.
