Is a comforter absolutely necessary for a crib ?

Honestly not until they're older, Alauras almost 8 months and hers has never been used in the crib, it's used as a play mate in the floor lol

You're really not supposed to put anything in a crib except the waterproof pad and a fitted shit. Those crib bedding are overrated. Get baby some sleep sacks

all I have it waterproof pad and crib sheet. Also have mesh breathable bumper things. regular bumpers and other things are not safe.

I think with my daughter we used whatever blanket we felt right just keep an eye on him or her... I also used the god forsaken crib bumper too which didn't hurt her at all she was in her crib for 6 months and rock and play from about 2 months till 6 months because of reflux. do what you feel is right along with if you think the baby will be warm enough with just what you put them in for bed!

not at all. if I could do it again I would just get fitted crib sheets. luckily I only spent 40 on a set! we do use a blanket in her crib she's 5 months but just a light blanket
