I've never been grounded. My parents just didn't give a fuck but I knew I wanted better so I strived for it. I'll be strict but just enough to where they know what not to do and they can Come to me if they need me for anything

@2novbabies, a year? That's horrible! I can't imagine what a normal teenager could have done so bad (other than drugs) that would get them grounded that long! If you're strict but still allow your kids to be kids, they won't feel the need to sneak around.

I was literally grounded for like a year in high school and hated my mom it was bad I kept being sneaky cause she kept being too strict. I don't want my kids to hate me but I want them to respect me as a parent, I want them to be comfortable enough to talk to me about things

If they smoke, they better sneak around me, if they drink, call me and I'll come get you if you're drunk, you had sex, okay time for the gun I and bc or condoms and strict talk on why you think you're adult enough to make that decision. 🙌🏼 I don't even like crop tops and I'm 21 lol I used one for my maternity pics and felt naked haha. I didn't have internet on my phone or a nice phone until I got a job at 18 (but I was sneaky and did stuff behind my moms back, found ways to send pics) I'm gonna be "strict" with my kids but I also want them to talk to me and not hide things like how it was with my mom

I'm with you there girl! My daughter's 4yo and I would never put a two piece suite on her even now! Some if the clothes they have are insane, high heels for toddlers and short shorts for little girls.... sickening :(
