wait until they start getting regular or at least 3-4 min apart. generally labor contractions that are adequate enough to cause cervical change last 60-90 sec every 2-3 min in active transitional labor, 3-4 ish in active labor (would be a good time to go to the hospital) unless you have a history of fast labors

an if they get 2 five minutes apart the hospital will take you in.
