Can I vent for just a minute? I am so upset about finding out the gender of my baby this coming Thursday... "Why?" You may ask. Well because I planned the best way (in my opinion) to do a gender reveal and now everyone on my side of the family has their feelings hurt. Because my husband and I have different off days and we are going to both be off Thursday for the appointment we decided to hold a dinner for just our parents and step-parents. It would be hard to get everyone together on a Thursday. Anyway, I have a box for each set of parents to open that will have a pink or blue balloon in it along with a framed ultrasound to reveal the sex to our parents to film their reactions. Then two days later when I am off work I was planing on driving to my grandma's, all of my Husband's grandparents' houses and then to all of our siblings houses. Then give the grandparents a gift that included a mason jar full of green and yellow marbles a little poem on a label that had the name under the lid and an ultrasound to reveal the gender to them and film their reactions. Then the siblings would get a card that had poems written on them about being an aunt or an uncle and when it opened glitter would be in it revealing the gender and I would film their reactions. Then on Sunday I would compile all the videos and put it online for everyone else to find out... but that is not good enough. My dad is mad that I dont want my little brother and sister at the dinner. My grandma is mad that she has to wait two days. In the process of them expressing their anger I was called every bad word possible. Now I hope the baby is modest and no one can know the gender.
