So I named my son Oliver with the clear understanding to EVERYONE that he is not to be called Ollie. Unfortunately my future MIL doesn't understand that and continuously calls him Ollie and it drives me nuts. Does anyone have any advice how to nicely tell her it bothers me and that I'd like her to not call him that? Seriously if she doesn't quit I will probably snap and I don't want to cause and argument.
She should respect your wishes. It doesnt matter WHY you don't want your son to be called Ollie, you've made it known, and she's rude to do it anyway.
I have nothing against nicknames for instance my fiance calls him baby Oliver, I call him baby bird, my sister calls him baby O, etc. As soon as I found out I was pregnant we knew if we had a boy he would be called Oliver and people asked me then if we were going to call him Ollie and I said absolutely not. I cant stand it and honestly I don't have a reason. I just feel like she should have the respect for me not to call him that knowing I don't like it and its not his name. Her real name is Tamra and she goes by Tammy she hates to be called Tamra so out of respect for her I call her what she wants to be called so I feel she should do the same for me.
why can't she give him her own special nickname? is there a backstory to why you prefer not or is it just I don't like the name? lol
ppl call my dtr Baby G but that was always my name cuz I'm the youngest of my siblings n some call her GG which is also mine(her name is Gia) lol I don't like it but it doesn't bother to the point of saying don't do it lol maybe it's just the hormones lol
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Ok, so my friend is wanting to get pregnant but..... Her fiancé does not want kids, at lease for another 3-5 years he said... so she came up with the idea to have me pee on a stick for her and show it to him so that he’ll be comfortable with not wearing a condom and finishing in her.. basically the whole idea is to make him think she’s pregnant already...... so I do this favor for her or should I tell my girl to chill?
He and my husband are friends through us and he’s going to invite him over...
My mother n law literally told my son not to call me mama and call me by my name and call her mama. Who does that stupid shit? I’m glad he doesn’t understand but it’s still kinda hurtful.
Ssssoooo funny!!
My 5 year old told me today that I can no long call him Tyler, I must refer to him as "Big T"!!! Hahaha!

Am I wrong to be upset? Last night I was running a fever, weak, tired, sore, my left boob feels like it got used as a punching bag. I asked my husband to call out of work today to help me with the kid so I could get some rest. He went to work. I texted him this morning. Part of me thinks I mean. The other part of me thinks I was fine for saying that because he should've stayed home with us.
My sons name is Oliver as well but I have no problem with people calling him Ollie. I personally find it adorable but she should respect your choice & call him by his full name.
