Okay mommies, I need some advice. Long story short, my mother and I never had a close relationship growing up due to my parents being divorced. As soon as I got pregnant she jumped back into the picture like she always does and took over everything, including my baby shower. That being said she is isolating herself and not allowing my mother-in-law or stepmom to voice their ideas and then had the balls to throw a hissy fit because I invited my mother-in-law to our 3D ultrasound session that my mom is giving us for a Christmas gift. I believe that my fiancée/father of my child's mother has every right to see her grandchild as much as my mother does. I appreciate everything that my mom has been doing for me but why be so selfish, this is supposed to be a happy time for BOTH families! 😒
I believe it is coming to that point sooner than later, hubby had had enough too!
well this should be about you and the baby. not your mom. I'd have a serious sit down with her. tell her she's stressing you out. and that she can't be so controlling over stuffthat should be bringing both families together.
bring your husband for support.
@jessicarae442, I literally had a breakdown a couple of weeks ago because I am so sick of everyone going back and forth about everything. I am at my breaking point with her, and have been trying to include my mother-in-law by having her help me with my registry and doing party favors for the shower at least. I know it isn't much but I hate how my mom is leaving her out of it.
I would sit down and talk with your mother. let her know that his family has just as much right to be there as she does. and that she can't just pop up whenever she sees fit and try to control everything. she shouldn't be putting stress on you at all
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
