I have a question..Everytime I latch my daughter onto my right breast, it causes severe, unbearable pain to my nipple. But, I have no pain when she latches onto my left side. I think it might be the way her tongue is rubbing..is that possible.? Did any other mommies have this problem.? And, what helped.?

That was my next suggestion! She might recommend a nipple shield just to help with the latching for a while. I had to use a nipple shield for the first two weeks of my daughter life.

@shelbyroberson Maybe. I am going to get ahold of a lactation consultant Monday.

Maybe just a bad latch on that side. I only got that kind of pain when I got mastitis.

@shelbyroberson No. I pump more from the right..and nothing else hurts. Just when she latches on.

Do you pump more from the left than the right? And do parts of the breast feel more tender than the other one?

Blocked duct on the right side if you see any white spots on your nipple then your very blocked! Nurse nurse nurse on theright side it'll make the pain go away without your milk drying up
