Anyone had an epidural with their labor and delivery? If so, can you relay your experience? I'm 34 weeks and my due date is December 16th and I'm getting really nervous and scared...and I have a low pain tolerance and I'm already preparing myself for the epidural. Please no discouraging comments/suggestions please. I'm a first time mommy. <3

I got the epidural, knew I would get it the whole time I was pregnant. I have a pretty high pain tolerance but I just knew I'd get one. They say they "numb" it a little before giving you the epidural, which I guess they do, but it still feels like a big sting with some pressure, I guess having a contraction during it didn't help, but then after that it was great. When I started pushing it was mildly worn off, which was a good thing so I could push better, but it still helped a lot I could just tell!

I got one with my 1st pregnancy my labor went by so fast and I didn't feel a thing. Almost felt like I cheated the whole experience lol @rebcamdot it was a quick pinch that might make you jump but it kicks in very fast.
