so I've bottle fed Phoebe since the day she was born really. for the first few days of being home my boobs leaked (I tried breast feeding in hospital but didnt work out) and then they stopped but I was able to squeeze some milk out to check I was still producing incase I decided to try again. then it eventually stopped and nothing came out at all. just now I didn't really do anything and one of my boobs released some milk which I used to see when I squeezed to check!!! does this mean I'm producing more again, because I really wanna no I still have a chance? would could be going on?

Hmmm... It might just be a blocked tube that released its last milk. But if you are seriously considering breasting it then you should try letting phoebe use you as a dummy & the hormones will eventually start to produce milk again. It's like supply & demand so the more nipple stimulation & skin to skin you get with her the more your boobs will realise. It might take a awhile & defo research other methods to reintroduce milk but it's defo possible :) although if I'm completely honest... Bottle feeding is a lot easier. I've had so many ups and downs with feeding & I've only recently got the answers 7 weeks in! Consider the pros and cons & do from there 😘 xx

You have to pump. preferably with an electric pump. I think the advice was pump for 20 minutes, rest for 10, pump for 10, rest for 10, pump for 10. Every couple of hours ! to re stimulate the milk production.(even if nothing comes out for a while) you should also contact the national breastfeeding helpline / speak to your health visitor to put you in contact with your local breast feeding support team. You will probably need to take a supplement like fenugreek to help milk supply. but the breast feeding support team will really help.
