just use no ammonia hair dye :)

It's safe. just not in the 1st trimester. The doctor prefers it to be No or Little ammonia. and make sure youre in a well ventilated area. I've dyed my hair twice now.

I did hair for several years and the way hair color is made now is completely safe, the professional hair color. That was an issue when dye was high in ammonia which it no longer is. If you are overly concerned about it though, ask for a toner instead of dye. The effect isn't as permanent and the chemicals don't stay on as long!
