I need advice y'all. I have a horrible clogged duct and mastitis. It hurts so bad that it brings me near tears to feed my son. Also, my chest has been hurting lately. I was given antibiotics and the OB said they were safe to take whilst breastfeeding but the pharmacist said otherwise.
I'm in so much pain but refuse to breastfeed and take the medication if there's a chance that it'll hurt my son.
I need advice. What should I do? I hurt so bad. the clogged duct is about the size of a tennis ball, maybe a little smaller.

OUCH! I'm sorry you're going through the pain. I use to get the same thing but they weren't that big. I don't know if you've tried this already but what I use to do when I breastfed was get a cloth & wet it in hot water (not too hot) I would put it on my affected area & massage it while breastfeeding on the same exact breast. It hurt a lot but it was the only way it would work for me. hope it works for you as well 🍀

Can you buy a manual pump?? I got one from the Wal-Mart where I am for this same reason for like $30 and it helped so much.
