I have to sit my son up hold him under his chin to burp that's the only way he will burp for me. All my boys were like that and it always takes him a while to burp. Maybe try that if you haven't already.

my daughter doesn't burp after every feed either. It helps when I lay her on her stomach on my lap, eventually she burps.

yea the sitting on my knee holding under chin position is the only one that'll work for my Bailey

I do the same holding under the chin. it seems to work well. if I can't get a burp out I lean her back and gently rub up on her belly then switch to my shoulder and that normally does the job.

@ngujen, Sometimes I don't get a burp either. if baby isn't spitting up I assume it's not a big deal!

I always hold baby from lower back so that I apply pressure on her tummy while I pat her back. She burps like a grown man lol
