Did anyone get the "harmony test" done? Its to find out if baby has any disorders, but they can also tell you gender. I think they earliest you can get it done is 10 weeks? Need some feedback.
I had it done at 12 weeks it took 8 business days to get the results back. Eveything is good with my baby and I was told the gender at that time as well. I was told to wait til 12 weeks so the results were accurate.
my doctor asked me to do it but I really didn't want to its something that I didn't want to do.
@mamaoftwolilboys, after my baby was diagnosed with his CHD they suggested either an Amnio or the Harmony test. I opted for the Harmony test since it's less invasive
Got mine done. Was covered by insurance. I had the test done at 14 weeks and got my results by 15 weeks. It's a boy & all the markers for downs were negative!
@mommy2b449, i think its just a blood test. They draw blood like any other time. Just add a tube to the other 10 they take!
@mamaoftwolilboys, I was 19 weeks and no my insurance did not cover it. However it was only $135 and well worth it
Hm. One brother has cerebal palsey and the other has a missing valve in his heart. This is baby #3 for me, but I would love to know gender early!
we opted out of it we because we were told the likelihood of anything being wrong was slim to non. we now have a healthy 2 year old girl :)
@mamaoftwolilboys, I had the rest after my level 2 ultrasound and echocardiogram confirmed a Congenital Heart Defect. Luckily there were no further abnormalities
Girls, did insurance cover it? Did you just ask the nurse? How far along were you?
@mommy2b449, its a blood test they use to test for different disorders that baby may have, but they also can figure out gender.
I wish I would have. they found a cyst on my daughter brain at 19 weeks it's turned out to be normal but if I would have had that test done I wouldn't have had to gone to a level 2 ultrasound and gentic councilor
I was told my gender which matched the ultrasound and my insurance covered it
