so I found out I might be able to get more maternity leave than just the 42 days the regulation says. I really really hope they can give me another week or two, especially since I'm a single mom. it'd be so nice

the air force, navy and marine corps all get the initial 6 weeks and then another 12 weeks of nonchargable leave to be used within the first year of the kids life @islandftm . not the army though

SMA Dailey is calling for a review of the maternity and paternity leave policy for the army. but they haven't put anything into effect yet @caiseclosed2015

they also seriously need to review the breastfeeding policy they just put out, but that's a whole other topic lol

Transgender children So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do u think the parents are behind this? Idk because I haven't met the parents or children. I just think at 5 it's very young for children to really understand. What do u ladies think?
