What other pain meds besides epidural (i have scoliosis) can be administered during labor? And how does it affect baby? Please help!
I have mild scoliosis and I got an epidural... I don't feel like it took 100% and wore off super fast.
Hm, I have no heard of that. Thank you for the info. I'll ask my ob about it tomorrow. My friend has scoliosis as well and hers took! But my curve is at the bottom and very top of my spine. Hopefully, it will work with me because I'm not good with pain at all!
@emmajeremy2627, thank you 😊 I'm glad to hear a positive outcome!
@lovebuggg2016, I was told that as well, but I think we have an increased risk of it not taking, or spinal headaches. I personally don't know if I wanna chance it
i have scolios two curves in my spine one at top and one at bottom i told them i didnt want it due to that but the pain got so bad i gave in. the anesthesiologist did really good. they said they administer them to scoliosis patients all the time. just letting you know i got it, so your not scared if you do decide:)
I was told I could still have the epidural with scoliosis.
csection was due to my heart condition and not being able to bear down with my rods. they still even then didn't want the csec. so I think you'll be safe with a natural birth.
@zombiemombie, I found this ссылка thanks mama I'll look into that too
I had stadol first. it's pronounced like saydall. it just made me super sleepy if I would have progressed at a faster rate I wouldn't have gotten a epidural but 32 hours of labor I needed something else plus I ended up with a c section so I would of had something no matter what
@zombiemombie, of course!! Csection is the last thing I want 😔
im wondering if there is any other options for us also. keep me posted if you could?
I have server scoliosis and a spinal fusion I had a general c section.
@lovebuggg2016, you're so welcome! Let me know what your ob says! Mine always brushes me off and doesn't clarify. 😒 @mommymac I had a friend and hers also wore off quickly 😳
