LABOR AND DELIVERY STORY

Around 3am Tuesday October 20th I started having what I thought was Braxton hicks but I noticed they were getting more painful than what I had experienced before. I thought that they would go away. Once they kept going on for about an hour I started to time them. They were coming about every 20 minutes, then eventually getting closer together. By 8am I told my mom what was going on and she insisted that we went to labor and delivery. Got there in triage and the nurse hooked me up to the monitors and then she checked my cervix. She said I was not dilated but I was 50% efaced and that I was in false labor. So I went home and continued to have contractions that entire day and night consistently. I was still timing them and they were closer but I didn't think they were close enough to go back to labor and delivery. 1am my mom said let's go I can tell you're in a lot more pain. We got there she checked me and I was 4-5 cm dilated. They got me to a room a while after that then I got my epidural when I was about 7cm. At 10:15am I was ready to push. After I started pushing the nurse realized my baby's head wasn't turned the ideal way so they had me change positions to try to get him to turn. Well that didn't work and I pushed for 2 freaking hours and and my baby boy was born at 12:37pm on Wednesday, October 21st weighing 7lbs 12oz at only 37 weeks. I had to get 28 stitches because I tore extremely bad. I felt everything while pushing him out because my epidural wore off. But that was the best experience I could have asked for. #birthstory #laborstory #laboranddeliverystory #delivery #labor
